Started by one class. Meant for every class.
The Springfield High School Alumni Fund raises money through donations, events, and merchandise sales. The money supports educational goals for new graduates of Springfield High School — whether that means finishing a university degree or graduating from a technical or trade school.
The fund was organized by the Class of 1976. We are alumni, not the school district, and the scholarships we award are funded by Millers who decide the next class should have a little more room to move.
What we believe
A diploma from Springfield High is a start, not a finish line. Some graduates need a semester of tuition. Some need tools, fees, or the first term of an apprenticeship program. The form of the education matters less than the fact that a Springfield kid can complete it.
We also believe this should not belong to one reunion forever. The Class of 1976 lit the match. Other classes can carry it. A living legacy only stays alive if someone younger picks it up.
What we fund
- University and four-year degree costs
- Community college tuition and fees
- Trade and technical programs
- Certification and licensing costs tied to a graduate’s training
- Other direct educational expenses that help a Springfield graduate finish
Awards are made to graduates of Springfield High School. Details, deadlines, and eligibility are posted on the Scholarships page each cycle.
What we are not
We are not a substitute for federal aid, and we are not the school’s own foundation. We are alumni, raising alumni money, for alumni who just left.
